In 1975 Bobbi left the New York- New Jersey area and moved to  South Carolina.  In rural Lee County,  she   gardens.  Her art developed in its current form from the materials in the garden.  Many of her plants are flowers and shrubs native to South Carolina.
Today Bobbi makes her own paint of materials from the earth and handmade papers from the plants she grows in her gardens.
Bobbi graduated from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois with a degree in zoology.  Later she attended the Art Students League of New York and the National Academy of Design.  She studied in Venice through the International Program of New York University from which she also obtained her Masters Degree in studio.

Collage artists - C. Albert

The Aerial Dream series was inspired by bird watching. I wanted to explore flying as a metaphor for freedom. Many of the icons resemble strange angels because of the combinations of wings with human forms but I did not originally intend this. Their unusualness probably comes from my non-traditional beliefs.
I call them flying creatures. They both evoke flight and inhabit space. I like how they defy what seems impossible. I've pursued a limited palette with these, drawn to the simplicity.
Over the Town (after Chagall) photomontage. This is a new Aerial Dream collage made with Chagall's Over the Town in mind. I use removable double-stick tape to keep pieces in place while I am working/composing.
I glue my collages with non-toxic wheat and rice pastes on cotton acid-free paper that is stretched onto boards. The boards have frames on the back so they can be stacked to save space, allowing me to work on multiple collages at a time. When completed, I remove the collage and reuse the boards.
Eleanor Roosevelt's Dress mixed media collage: magazines, paper, text in black pencil.
This actually is Eleanor Roosevelt's dress. The writing in the folds is one of her famous quotes: "You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
Kabuki Flyer mixed media collage: magazines on inked paper.
Bird–Woman collage: magazines, rice papers, poem in black pencil.
She Rises photomontage on paper.

Collage artists - Susan Adamé

Susan Adamé collages consist of contemporary abstract compositions suspended in pools of color and texture.
The collages are created on watercolor paintings that sets the color tone and palette. These watercolor paintings create a feeling of underlying movement or flowing as well as giving the art depth and dimension. From a distance you can see the strong abstract composition and as you approach you are engaged by the added depth from the underlying layers.. Each piece invites the viewer to linger and view the details including paper created by the artist. The use of lines and circles in the composition are reminiscent of the body and the spirit and give the composition grounding and strength.
2009 Solo Exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, Florida & Montreal
This art takes the viewer on a journey into a lush dimensional world of color. The collages are rich with layers of color and textures that yield new discoveries with each viewing. The varying hues and the blending of colors in the watercolor portion of the work give the collages unusual depth and radiance.

The finished pieces are sealed with Polymer UVLS sealer to help protect them from light damage. Commission work available. (email - SusanAdameArt@gmail.com)
